The Forgotten Resolution

9) I will never use "I'm starting to think that" in any rant or argument, because someone will inevitably reply that whatever I'm starting to think is a well-known fact and imply that I'm stupid for not knowing it.

Hm, does university accomodation have a phone line? I need my internets.

1 - Things may have changed in the last few years but halls of residence (freshers residence) didn't have phones in every room when I was at uni. Communal phoneline for each group of rooms, but not per person. Second & third years you'll be living in houses so it won't be an issue as much. Depends on how forward-thinking / generous the indivudal university is I suppose.

3 - Most universities have high speed internet connection points in each study bedroom as standard. I'm a bit worried about this at Bristol - if you're downloading a file for more than 7 minutes, they cut it off. How am I supposed to get at Torchwood and Doctor Who with this? I think my friends will be spending a lot of time HJ-Splitting and reuploading files for me :P

The only place I can recall which had a telephone in the room was Oxford. (Comment this)

4 - I have ADSL, so all I really need [I think] is a phone line, I just plug my thingy into the phone line, and it's connected. That should be it, if I understand it right. (Comment this)
